Electronic Banking Specialist

Department: Deposit Operations
Location: Macon, GA

We are searching for a full-time Electronic Banking Specialist to assist with the overall day to day operations of the Deposit Operations area of the Bank. The employee's primary responsibility will be focused on Electronic Banking products and services while also delivering exceptional customer service. This position is an on-site position and will be based at our Log Cabin Branch (Macon).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recommends, tests, implements and supports electronic banking products and services i.e. (online & mobile banking, online cash management, ACH origination, wire origination, remote deposit capture, bill pay, etc.)
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Provides online and/or in person product training to customers and/or Bank Employees on the features and benefits of Cash Management products and services.
  • Works with diverse groups when testing and implementing new products and services to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of all Bank products and services that are customer-facing including, but not limited to, online & mobile banking, online cash management, ACH origination, wire origination, remote deposit capture, and bill pay.
  • Monitors customer accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Tracks trends and impacts of customer needs and expectations, and identifies products and services to support those needs.
  • Attends training and assist with training retail staff as needed on electronic banking products and services.
  • Applies knowledge of regulatory policies, procedures, and rules in making decisions and solving customer problems in a timely manner and provides direction to retail staff on such matters.
  • Adheres to AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures, dual control, security, business continuity, and all other regulated banking requirements.
  • Maintains, updates, and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance standards and objectives are met.
  • Produces reports and participates in projects as needed.
  • Ensures that all ID guidelines are met and protecting customer privacy and reducing exposure to losses.
  • Resolves procedural questions referred by retail staff.
  • Serves as a resource to bank personnel when dealing with difficult situations and transactions.
  • Provides support to Deposit Operations as needed.

Environmental and Physical Activity

  • Fast-paced banking/business office environment with standard office temperature, moderate noise from computer(s), printer(s), telephone, fax, copier, scanner and other office equipment, and median traffic.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, reach, left (up to 15 pounds), and stand for various lengths of time and meet other physical demands required to perform the job.
  • Ability to operate and use a computer, printer, telephone, fax, copier, scanner, other office equipment and tools needed and used to perform this job.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred. Will accept equivalent banking industry experience in lieu of Associate or Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 year of banking operations, account, customer service, and/or administrative support experience.
  • Experience with Jack Henry Products and/or Cognos is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient with of the ability to quickly learn the applications, hardware, and software used in the Bank.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
